Item Details

A pair of Chinese Export 'toys' made of clay, polychrome decorated, each a two-wheeled covered wagon with a driver and a passenger.

Probably made to help a westerner inform those at home about life in China towards the middle of the 19th century. Similar such things were made in large numbers for the British in India; somewhat rarer from China.

Each approximately 10.5 inches long.
