George Grove is variously recorded as working between 1748-1768 in Birmingham as a 'candlestick maker'. This pair, one of four designs found marked by him as maker, are of seamed construction with the twist-stem ejector system. stamped beneath in an arc 'GEO.GROVE'. George II, circa 1765.
