Early 19th century Vue d'Optique of Westminster Abbey with neighboring St. Margaret’s Church. The view of the abbey and charming foreground scene as it was at the time of the old Palace of Westminster, before the fire of 1834 and the building of Barry and Pugin’s new Palace of Westminster, began in 1840.
A French print, published around 1825; a French tricolour to be seen flying from St. Margaret’s tower!
This print with original hand colouring; presented within a good copy of a period print frame.
