A folding, glazed tinware trench lantern, an embossed brass plate identifying the makers as ‘Parkinson and W.B. Cowan Ltd, Manufacturers, Birmingham 1916’, another instructing the use of ‘½ Candles Only’.


Although more than twice the size, the design is much the same as the folding brass campaign lantern from around 100 years earlier.
