At James Worrall alongside our many fine quality antique furniture and accessories, we are also well known, amongst our many private and interior design clients, for our speciality in sourcing and providing beautiful Maison Baguès lighting.

We were drawn to this French brand for it's eye catching designs and quality creation and having focused on buying and selling their pieces for a number of years now, we have gained an expert knowledge on items from this renowned Designer.

Their chandeliers, wall lights and pendants often fetch high prices and for good reason because they are like works of art, hand made and impeccably put together.

We do also sell, and make it clear, items that are in the style of Baguès, such as Banci Firenze.

You should never be put off purchasing antique or vintage lighting as they are often better value and quality then contemporary pieces, and are actually just as easy oftentimes, to re-wire, repair and place in your home.

We always rewire our own lighting (for any destination) and chandeliers are sold with a suitable length of chain and a ceiling rose. We can undertake any modifications needed to work with most lighting requirements and we have also had sconces fitted with a small back plate, if the client’s electrician has specified the need for this. If clients have any questions, we’re really happy to help - we can also source specific pieces too, as well as advise on shades, if required.

Worldwide delivery is no problem, we can easily quote for and arrange this too

Shown are some examples of current items for sale. If you are looking for specific pieces or for specific sizes to suit various spaces, we can help you source what you need and advise on placement.

ABOUT:

Maison Baguès was founded in Auvergne, France, in 1840 by Nicolas Baguès. Originally specialising in creating liturgical bronzes. After expanding into bronze lighting with the popularization of electricity, the business quickly found much success. The turn of the 20th century brought much recognition and their chandeliers began being sold internationally, including to London, New York, Rome, Brussels, and Cairo. In the 1920s the company expanded and introduced their recognisable signature collections of finely crafted iron, gilt and crystal chandeliers and wall sconces with Parrots & Foliage.
