1950's Original French Tolix H Metal Café Dining Stools Red - Small Batch Available. Sold and priced individually.

Tolix is one of our all time favourite companies. In 1907 Frenchman Xavier Pauchard discovered that he could protect sheet metal from rusting by dipping it in molten zinc (galvanisation) and a few years later he set up his factory producing steel furniture. Tolix was the creator and founder of perhaps the most iconic café chair of all time, the Tolix model A, designed in 1934. The H stool by Tolix is also an icon of industrial French design. Retaining their original paint and in exceptional original condition, look closely and you will see some of the X cross supports. Totally original Tolix survivors many still retain the original rubber feet. Seat Height 45cm.
