This is a vintage carved decorative ammonite. An African, opalized fossil on display plinth, dating to Cretaceous period millions of years ago, polished and presented circa 1970.

Skilfully carved ammonite with fine decorative appeal

Fossilised roughly 100 million years ago, during the Cretaceous period
