Large, beautiful, early 19th Century French giltwood trumeau mirror with original oil on canvas painting and its lovely old worn mirror plate.
The painting charmingly depicts a young country couple by a river. The girl in her laced bodice and skirt, is barefoot and carrying a filled basket. The young lad in open shirt, vest, breeches and stockings, carrying his hat.
The giltwood frame has wonderful patination .
