About the Artist: Christiane Vieyra Christoff French b.1924-d.2011
Christiane Vieyra known as Christoff was a French painter, ceramist and sculptor born in 1924. A student of André Lhote, she freed herself from his influence to turn to geometric abstraction.
Always looking for new forms, she also launched into ceramics, and created bisque sculptures, which reproduce the abstract shapes of her paintings in three dimensions.Her abstract and colourful paintings are particularly suited to the decor of contemporary homes.
