19h Century Antique Hanging Metal Wall Clock, from France decorated with original hand painted flowers and decorative bronze brackets at the top and bottom points,
The Clock hangs by an original brass chain and has a wind up brass movement. On the reverse side of the clock is a metal cover which slides open to access the movement. Made in France, circa 1880 - 1900, this style of clock was sometimes referred to as a 'Baker's Clock' because it resembles a bun.
Measures 12" in diameter., in good condition with some natural wear from usage On the reverse is a label dated 1997. label of a clock restorer who serviced the clock
For ease of use we have had a Modern Quartz Battery Movement put into the clock so that it now works without the need to be constantly rewound. The original brass movement will also come with the clock so that it can be restored to is original mechanism if desired.
