Large Copper Still or 'Alembic' from the lavender growing area of the French Alps, originally made for distilling Perfume.'
In old copper with its beautiful riveting and with the protruding beak from which the alcohol would have emanated into a spiral metal 'serpent'.
A great feature for a wine shop or restaurant.
Measures 50 inches tall x 35 wide. Circa 1860-1900
