Item Description
Rare Original World War I Signed Poster from France by Francisque Poulbot (1879-1946), printed and published by 'Maison Chachouin' to celebrate the 'Journee de Paris' (Paris Fundraising Day) in July 1917.
The sentimental image is of the little girl holding a bandaged soldier and by their side is the poodle with a begging bowl in its mouth.
This is a fine original example of a rare and famous French war poster used for WWI propaganda which has recently been framed in a beautiful and expensive 3 inch wide 'art-deco' moulding and glazed with perspex.
In its frame the poster measures 52 inches high x 36 wide ( 132 x 91 cms).
