Item Description
Late 19th century English ‘Parcel Gilt’ style Mirror -.with bevelled mercury silvered glass, set into a carved walnut frame with a gilded ‘bird of paradise’ set on the pediment , a gilded edge moulding and an inlaid marquetry cartouche set in the bottom apron.
Late Victorian period (1880-1910) made by Maples or Waring & Gillow - as a copy of an earlier 18th century style of mirror.
Measures 34 inches tall x 22 wide
In reasonable condition with some old repairs on the reverse of the frame. and the two 'ears' have been re-attached at some time in the past.
