Item Description

The Ashby Reflector Pendant Light

Based on a design by WAS Benson, the Ashby reflector combines Arts and Crafts Movement simplicity and symmetry. An example can be seen in the V&A Museum, London and in the National Trust property Standen House, Sussex which is renowned for its Arts and Crafts architecture and interior.

Beautifully hand crafted and comprising of eight brass segments.  These three-sided shapes have soft edges and have been precisely configured to form a shade which allows the light to filter through yet shields the bulb from view.  With the appearance of a fan blade, the overall effect is almost aeronautical.

The brass has a dark antique patina.

Hand crafted in our South Derbyshire workshop.

Medium – Width 26cm.  Height 12cm.  (As shown here)
