Super English Oak Bureau with Storage C.1930s

A really lovely and good quality early 1930s English oak bureau with the benefit of a long drawer and 2 door cupboard. This one sits in fine order after a session in our workshop.
It's a super piece of early 1930s furniture with its well grained and toned English oak and obviously benefiting from being a one owner piece. The design is subtle Art Deco - no big showy statements but a few understated features, the long reed oak handles, shaped feet and half decorative columns are three. In addition, it has a well fitted out interior, the original grained Rexine writing surface, a working lock and key and very useful storage space.

Condition as mentioned, is good - the tone and colour of the oak lighter than some after a careful repolish, the bureau interior is all there and the drawer is clean and running well. The spacious cupboard has a single removable shelf. We have gentle usage marks but nothing off putting.

When purchasing from us we include delivery in the purchase price which is based on a one person delivery for England and Wales. Please call or email for quotes to Scotland, Northern Ireland, The Isles and for World-wide shipping.

For any large items that require two people to lift the item, we ask that you are available at the time of delivery to be able to give our shipper a lift off the van and into your house with the item. If you are not able to lift items yourself, we ask that you have someone on hand at the time of delivery to assist our shipper with moving the item. We are happy to quote for a two person delivery if required.
