This 1930s chest of two drawers, attributed to Gordon Russell, sits rather well and echoes the era with its straight lines, quality craft and simple design

It certainly ticks all the boxes on the Gordon Russell front - well chosen timbers, high quality craftsmanship, the use of walnut turned knobs against the oak and the overall finish, however no stamp or maker's mark which was sometimes the case with Russell.

Condition is good with light day to day marks - no heavy marks just one very, very small nibble to the front right hand side otherwise expect a well cared for 1930s chest with well turned original walnut knobs. We have ensured it's ready to place with a clean and very light wax.

When purchasing from us we include delivery in the purchase price which is based on a one person delivery for England and Wales. Please call or email for quotes to Scotland, Northern Ireland, The Isles and for World-wide shipping.

For any large items that require two people to lift the item, we ask that you are available at the time of delivery to be able to give our shipper a lift off the van and into your house with the item. If you are not able to lift items yourself, we ask that you have someone on hand at the time of delivery to assist our shipper with moving the item. We are happy to quote for a two person delivery if required.
