Item Description
A set of six ‘Cesca B32' chairs designed by Marcel Breuer in 1928 and produced by Gavina. C.1950
With chrome-plated tubular steel, ebonised beechwood and cane.
"Thonet produced the chair until World War II. In the 50's Dino Gavina, a furniture manufacturer in Foligno, Italy, started making the chair with Breuer's permission. The name also changed, its namesake is Breuer's daughter Francesca, or Cesca. It was Dino who named the chair after her. In 1968 Knoll bought Gavina." Elaine Louie
