This exceptional 19th century inkwell features a rare combination of bronze and carved wood portions, finely crafted to depict a bulldog in repose. Its antiquity and craftsmanship make it a valuable collectible.
A feature that stands out are the cute glass eyes.
He is in an upright sitting position.
A nice small size being 15 cm high and 8.5 cm wide.
Exceptionally well cast the detail is, you can see the wrinkles on his cheeks and around his nose, muscular detail to his front legs.
the head lifts up to reveal bronze lined interior for the ink to sit in.
