Item Description
Rare bamboo ware corner wardrobe c.1900. Single door wardrobe with a long dressing mirror to the front. Fitted inside with hanging hooks and a front to back hanging rail. Over a single drawer in the base. Bamboo frame with wooden sides covered with woven grass panels inside and out. Original brass handles. Note how the shape of the mirror is copied in the raised bamboo gallery above the door. Labelled for Apps & Co. Compete Home Furnishings West Malling. Tarnish to the top of the mirror and some damage to some of the grass panels, most obviously inside the door. Otherwise good condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
