Item Description
Mid 19th.c. burr walnut pedestal dining or centre table (also known as a loo table) c.1860. Attractively shaped top with highly figured burr walnut veneers laid in a striking symmetrical pattern onto solid walnut groundwork. Moulded and crossbanded edges and a slim crossbanded apron below. Raised on a carved column pedestal and four carved legs with scrolling feet and brown pot castors below. Top can be tipped to vertical when not in use, locking into position with the original brass catch. Minor wear and repairs to the top, generally excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
