Item Description
Early 19th.c. Dutch marquetry inlaid chiffonier side cabinet c.1830. With a single oak lined drawer (with internal dividers) over a two door cupboard fitted inside with a single shelf (internal depth 16"). Spectacular floral pattern marquetry work designs inlaid in contrasting and coloured woods into the flame mahogany ground across the top, front and sides of the cabinet. Note the butterflies in the top design and the songbirds featured on the door panels. Set within borders of inlaid stringing. Decorative pierced brass escutcheon to the right hand door. Some old wear and repairs, most obvious on the right hand door front. Otherwise very good colour and condition, restored cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Keys supplied.
