Impressively proportioned painting of waterfowl in oil on canvas by the Spanish artist Ira Monte (b.1918). 63" wide canvas painted with a scene featuring a Muscovy duck and a family of ibis on a pond with ducks and geese overhead. Very well painted in an early 19th.c. illustrative style typical of the artist's work. Clearly signed in the lower right hand corner of the canvas. Presented as found within a moulded and gilded wooden frame. In very good condition.
