Item Description
Pair of 1960s Brazilian rosewood safari lounge chairs, designed by French designer MIchel Arnoult and made in Brazil.
French designer Michel Arnoult is known to have moved to Brazil in the mid 1950s and began working on furniture that blends mid Century French style and south American designs of the time.
These chairs are a clear example, with each chair featuring an intricately worked frame constructed from the highest quality Brazilian rosewood. The back rest and seat are made of two high quality leather sling cuts which provide greater support and comfort when sitting. These chairs stand out not only for their design and construction materials but also for the comfort they offer.
Circa 1950s
Please note.
The frame of one chair is lighter in colour than the other. The material on the underside of the leather has become loose on the chair with a darker coloured frame. The leather on both chairs is in good order with some marks. The rosewood frames are in good order and the chairs are structurally sound.
