Item Description
A pair of Italian 1940s painted tole and porcelain 'Leafy Carnation' sconces - naturalistically designed as a tangle of gathered stems amongst glossy green leaves set with well modelled white ceramic blooms, with integral hook for easy hanging, hand painted throughout. In overall good condition commensurate with age with only minor signs of wear including a small chip to the back of one of the flower heads (not visible from the front) and nothing detracting in our opinion. Currently for candles. Can be wired and PAT tested - please enquire. A lovely and unusual example of botanical sconces - scarce in this design and condition. Lovely! Painted in red verso 'Italy'
