Our exquisite 'Gustav' desk is hand crafted from solid Eurpean prime oak, and is a faithful rendition of an important 18th century Gustavian period desk from the Port of Copenhagen. This handsome desk has wonderful proportions and features; a large writing surface with four small drawers and central cubbyhole concealed beneath the rear balcony shelf, over three decoratively carved diamond reeded drawers with hand cut dovetail joints, and stands on elegant square tapered & fluted legs with darted motifs. Lost-wax 'Cire Perdue' precison cast solid brass Gustavian pull handles. Available in four oak finishes; Limed oak, North Country oak, Chelsea oak, or Belgravia oak (shown in photos).
