Item Description
Circa 1860. A George II style mahogany lowboy. The solid top in well figured mahogany with shaped re-entrant corners. The front has a long drawer with cast brass swan neck handles and a shaped apron. Unusually the shaped apron is also on the back which is polished making the lowboy free-standing. The peg joints on the uprights are visible and stylish. The table rests on four elegant cabriole legs with quarter blocks with extended ‘C’ scrolls to the insides, carved shell on the knee and finishing on a realistic animal foot.
