Item Description
Circa 1850. An early Victorian mahogany pedestal side board, the back with a profusely carved upright with book matched flame mahogany, the curvaceous back which finishes with scrolling with further foliate carving, the large flat surface with wonderful figured mahogany, the flat fore-edge, the front with three cushion shaped drawers with matching flame mahogany a long center drawer flanked by a pair of shorter one. The pair of pedestals with full-length doors with raised mahogany panels in the finest figured mahogany, on one side it has pull-out slides on the opposite side is a shelf and a drawer, all resting on a closed plinth, the large mahogany sideboard has great colour patination.
