Item Description
Circa 1920. A quality walnut Queen Anne style cabinet. The mellow coloured cabinet with polished flat top, finely moulded fore edge and frieze with herringbone banding with various mouldings beneath this. A full-sized glazed door with curved astragals on the top and rectangular ones on the bottom. The inside of the cabinet is painted green and has three shelves, beneath the door there’s a shaped frieze with a small drawer, with an elegant cast brass drop handle, with a shaped frieze with a wonderfully carved shell in the center. The cabinet stands on four elegant cabriole legs with C scrolls at the top and finishing on an elegant cabriole foot.
