Circa 1920 A Scottish Cockpen or Dalhousie mahogany armchair probably by ‘Whytock and Reid of Edinburgh’, the chair with a classic slightly curved back of a rounded cresting rail and uprights with elegant Cockpen pattern back, with the curved upholstered seat, shaped arms supported on curved uprights, back legs turned slightly out-swept, front legs with reeding on the facing, slightly out-swept all the legs united by conforming circular stretchers.
