Item Description
Circa 1870. A mid Victorian mahogany pedestal desk. The top with broad crossbanding, tooled gilded green leather insert and moulded edge. With a configuration of one long drawer with two shorter drawers each side, each with turned mahogany knob handles, top rests on a pair of pedestals each with three full length drawers with similar beadings and handles. The sides and backs of the pedestals are polished. Beneath the bottom drawer, the pedestals rest on an enclosed plinths.
