Item Description
A bold and large wrought and cast iron antique fire grate / fire basket / dog grate, the serpentine front bars supporting flanking baluster supports which have unusual discs underneath the finials marked S S S S. Probably custom made. English approx late 19th century.
Dimensions in inches/cms;
32"/81cms max width, 19"/48cms max depth, 21.5/54.5cms max height.
Height at the the top of the back scrolled legs is 17.5"/44.5cms. Height to the top of the front bars is 12..75"/32.5cms.
Inside meaurements of the grate are 21.25"/54cms max width, 11.75"/30cms max depth, 7"/18cms height to top of front bars.
