Item Description
An unusual vintage French medical or doctors lamp with an aluminium shade attached to a steel stem via a double jointed ball socket (for adjustment) and a steel "box" base. Circa 1940s. The shade and original paintwork have been cleaned, polished and waxed. It has been re-wired and earthed with 3 meters of dark brown flex and a traditional style hard plastic plug. The original switch has been retained and works. The position of the lampholder within the shade has been altered so new BC lamp bulbs are positioned perfectly. The original sticker that is on the side of the base can be easily re-positioned to the front if wanted.

The base box is 8.25"/21cms square by 3.75"/9.5cms high
The max projection (or width) is approx 25"/63cms ( it is 19"/48cms with the shade pointing down)
The shade is 6.5"/16.5cms in diameter by 8.5"/21.5cms tall.
