David Heathcote studied at Canterbury College of Art and the Slade School of Art during the 1950s. He spent 20 years living in Nigeria and Zimbabwe and his artistic vision has been influenced by this experience. He has produced a wide body of art including paintings, sculpture, etchings and drawings in various media. Heathcote exhibited in the 1958 ‘Young Contemporaries’ show at the RBA Gallery, London as well as several other exhibitions, including a solo show at GV Art London and at Beckel Odille Boïcos Gallery, Paris. More recently, in 2014, he exhibited in London and received favourable mentions in The Financial Times, Critcs Choice , in the Life and Arts review, April, 2014.
