A striking bronze art work by well known sculptor Robert Fogell. Mounted on a stone base this bronze has a lovely patina which we have left unpolished.
Fogell’s artistic journey began when he trained as a sculpture conservator under Paul Giudici working on classical and modern sculpture for private and public collections including the Victoria & Albert Museum, Chatworth House and English Heritage. Having trained at Warwick University, he began a teaching career and at the same time started his own sculpture studio based at Burghley House, Stamford. According to Fogell his work ‘explores the fundamental elements of symmetry and proportion and how they interact with each other experimenting with positive and negative mass (space and solid) is part of the process. The sculpture finds itself, in a state of flux, in motion, yet static’.
