Item Description
Early 19th century French blue bourette de soie, a slubby silk quilt. The reverse is a more rustic woven linen stripe in red and indigo and a pale woven puce linen. Simply quilted with heart motifs. An interesting piece.
Some splitting of the silk in a few places at the edge of the quilt. A few holes in the silk at one corner. The reverse has some fading and a few small stains.
