Item Description
Very striking late 18th century French cotton pelmet block printed with stylised bleu de pastel leaves framed by patterned curving lines and set against a dark vermillion ground.Originally for a four poster bed with a tightly gathered top that has small hand beaten rings sewn on and several inset pleats at intervals.
In good condition with a few small holes and a slight darkening of colour on the red in places.
