Item Description
An 18th Century French Louis XVI Period Walnut Commode.
Of rectangular form with overhanging moulded top and two identically-sized drawers. The piece stands on tapering square sectioned legs. Wonderful curly walnut veneers are used on the drawer fronts and top, with contrasting wide crossbanding and inlaid strung borders. The top has fine quartered veneers of exceptional quality.
An attractive piece of French furniture with an excellent colour and patination.
