Item Description
A Handsome 19th Century English Mahogany Hall Seat or Bench of Fine Figure.
Benches of this sort first appeared in the regency period in England but this example dates to around 1840. The use of highly figured mahogany, particularly the timber used on the seat itself, is one of the finest pieces of timer you could find.
The timber used in this fine bench has attained an excellent colour and patination. A strong and substantial hall seat
