This elegant Italian occasional side table – pedestal from the 19th Century showcases masterful craftsmanship and luxurious materials. The tabletop features an octagonal design with multi-coloured marble pieces arranged in a striking geometric pattern reminiscent of a chessboard. The marbles include rich green, warm pink, creamy white, speckled grey, and earthy red tones, framed elegantly by contrasting borders of polished stone. The table’s base is made from dark green marble with natural veining, shaped into a sturdy column that tapers gracefully into an octagonal pedestal. The side of the table is decorated with ormolu motifs and the base is decorated with floral bronze motifs carving.
