This is an antique decorative marriage bowl. A Chinese, ceramic ceremonial bonbon dish, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1880.

Decorated profusely with foliate and cloud form pattern
To each side, a large spring flower from which scrolled leaves radiate outwards
Alternating with characters beneath cloud forms over smaller foliate heads
Striking blue base finished with red painted maker's stamp
