This is an antique morning room side chair. An English, walnut and leather elbow seat by James Shoolbred of London, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910.

Crafted from a quartet of fine timbers; walnut, burr walnut, satinwood and boxwood
Elegant back rest redolent of the Regency taste, with rectangular forms
Striking crest rail with satinwood border and boxwood stringing
Back splat with oval medallion between a pair of pierced supports
Elegant arms flow forwards to scrolled knuckles, upon shaped supports
Drop-in leather cushion set at a comfortable height of 46.5cm (18.25'')
Standing upon gently tapering front legs, with swept legs to the rear
Each leg united by a H-stretcher rail
