Item Description
Collection of nine original limited edition 1920s stencilled designs for dresses, theatrical costumes etc. created by French artist Sonia Delaunay (1885-1979).
All numbered 269 from an edition of 500 Stencilling by Daniel Jacomet, on Aussedat vellum, Paris, published by by Edizioni del Naviglio, Milan 1969, on the occasion of a retrospective exhibition of Delaunay’s work.
The designs are titled Costume pour Tristan Tzara 1923 Robe pour le Coeur a Gaz 1923 Robe Poeme 1922 Danse – Rythme sans Fin 1922 Robe Poeme 1922 texte de Tristan Tzara La Femme au Paravent 1924 La Dame en noir et blanc 1923 Costume d’homme pour la revue Adam 1925 Robe gris, noir, blanc 1923.
Presented in hand-painted shadow box frames.
