18th Century Louis XVI period giltwood mirror.This style of mirror is often referred to as a marriage mirror, with a pair of kissing doves at the top. Original gilding and original hand bevelled mercury mirror plate with some foxing.Unusually large for this type of mirror, most are half the size of this one. Circa 1770.
