A superb Anglo Indian military chest, circa 1840.
This large chest comes in 2 pieces.
Solid padauk wood top with gadrooned edge above 2 short and 3 long drawers. The drawers run well with good quality dovetailed construction, cockbeaded fronts and recessed handles. The drawers retain their original locks.
This chest of drawers has a rich colour and is beautifully made.
There is a gadrooned edge around the base, on nicely reeded feet.
