Item Description
A decorative slim bureau with black japanned background and hand painted raised chinoiserie, displaying detailed oriental scenes and florals in gold paint.
Slim in size and in good original condition.
The front fall opens down and automatically opens out the arm supports for it to rest on, the interior is fitted with pigeon hole storage and a small drawer. There is a red felt writing surface and the chinoiserie decoration is continued inside.
Below the fall are 3 drawers with round brass drop handles, these drawers all pull smoothly and offer further storage for papers/pens etc.
Raised on cabriole legs with painted knees.
The paintwork on the top is slightly worn, as you would expect with 100 years of dusting over!
