Item Description
A superb large partners writing table by highly respected furniture makers Maple & Co.
Maple & Co. was a British furniture and upholstery manufacturer established in 1841.
The company became one of the prime makers and suppliers of furniture to the aristocracy and royalty in both the United Kingdom and around the world.
A good size table, with 3 drawers on each side, having moulded fronts and good quality solid mahogany construction. With original brass handles and locks, bearing the makers stamp "Maple & Co." on the inside edge.
The top has a new thick leather writing surface, hand dyed using traditional technique to create a wonderful aged green colour with gold tooled edge.
Lovely rounded corners and beautifully rich coloured mahogany.
On large turned fluted legs with brass casters.
