A magnificent mahogany surprise drinks table table of the highest quality as you would expect by Maple & Co.
English, Circa 1900.
This charming table boasts a wonderful colour mahogany, with delicate marquetry inlaid detail to the top and sides.
As you open out the top the interior rises to reveal a mahogany framed glass tray with brass carry handles and quality brass L shaped corner brackets.
The tray is removable and sits on a smooth mahogany surface with string inlaid detail.
Smooth opening action and all functioning as it should.
Beautifully detailed harebell swags and bow marquetry.
Raised on slender tapering square legs with string inlay and brass cup casters.
Bearing the makers label Maple & Co.
Maple & Co. was a British furniture and upholstery manufacturer established in 1841.
The company became one of the prime makers and suppliers of furniture to the aristocracy and royalty in both the United Kingdom and around the world.
