Item Description
A rare and unusual rosewood library drum table, with rectangular shaped top and curved corners.
The top benefits from a new thick quality black leather inset, with gold tooled edge.
Superb quality rosewood, with gadrooned edge and boxwood string inlay.
This sits above 4 frieze drawers with cockbeaded and brass inlaid fronts and brass swan neck handles. All drawers function well and are of fine quality construction.
On each end of the table there is a drop flap, each with its own working key. One end is fitted with 4 small drawers and 2 pigeon holes, the other end is an open storage space inside.
Raised on a tapered square column, with tiered gadrooned edges terminating at a quatreform base with reeded scroll feet and casters.
A charming piece of furniture, offered in excellent condition, ready for the home.
