A gothic style bleached oak bookcase, circa 1850.
A rare and unusual design, with a parapet style top above 2 glazed doors, with working lock and key.
The doors open to reveal 3 height adjustable shelves inside, and this top section sits on a secretaire base.
The base holds a secrétaire drawer, which is effectively a pull out desk.. The drawer pulls forward and the front drops down to create a writing surface. With brown leather inset and pigeon hole storage, with 2 small drawers inside.
With working lock and key.
Below the drawer are 2 gothic style arched panel doors, with 2 shelves inside.
Lovely light oak colour, and breaking into 2 pieces for ease of placement in the home.
