Item Description
An extremely competent oil on canvas portrait of a woman, dated to 1940. It is signed but is a little indistinct - possible 'Parkin'? The brushwork and colour palette lend gravitas to the painting, and suggests it was executed by a skilled artist. There are touches of the Bloomsbury Group to it. The frame is more recent, but is sympathetic to the artwork. In good unrestored condition.
